Scabiosa - Samanthas Pink

The Scabiosa 'Samanthas Pink', is a vigorous and robust Pinchusion plant, displaying large pink flowers. The lovely medium pink blooms on long stems also cut well. Samanthas Pink is reminiscent of a pincushion full of pins. With its gray-green foliage, it has a plant height of 16 and a spread of 12-18". It is also disease resistant. It is best to plant Scabiosa in full sun, with well-drained soil and should be watered regularly throughout the warmer months to increase its overall performance. Deadheading after the first bloom will encourage repeat bloom time. Giant Blue is great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds and does excellent in rock gardens. It will do excellent for front-of-the-border areas, with Coreopsis Moonbeam', Dianthus 'Bath's Pink', in mass plantings or as cut flowers.

The Sedum 'Angelina, was developed in a private garden in Croatia. 'Angelina' has brilliant, needle-shaped, golden yellow foliage. It is a very vigorous mat-forming plant Angelinas prefer well-drained soil and to be kept on the dry side. It does well in a gritty soil or in a pot with its trailing habit. The Sedum Elizabeth, Sedum spurium, also known as Sedum Red Carpet, is a wonderful ground cover that is a little different from the rest. With a height of 3-4 and a spread of 24, its red blooms flower from May to September. The foliage is a dark red with green and produces a wonderful fall color.
