Royal Fushia Lobelia

The Lobelia 'Royal Fuschia', is a suberb new perennial Lobelia from Dan Heims. The fantastic fuchsia-colored flowers appear over the rosette of leaves from mid-summer into fall. This plant is solid and well branched. Excellent in the shade garden or containers, and a hummingbird favorite.

The Lychnis Gardener's World, 'Lychniscoronaria', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, is an upright perennial with woolly silver foliage. The magenta-red double blooms resemble small carnations. Gardeners World is a definite improvement from other Lychnis. The flower is larger, sterile and more refined. Gardners World has a plant height of 24-36 and 10 spread. Gardeners World should be planted in full sun to light shade, but does require moisture and free-draining soil. Lychnis is deer resistant and a great perennial for mass plantings or at the back of a border.

The tiny white flowers will appear late spring into early summer. Use Irish Moss between paving stones, rock walls, as an edging plant or as a small-scale groundcover.

Firetail Mountain Fleece Flower

With its superb, medium green leaves it has a plant height of 3-4 and a spread of 3-4. The flowers are crimson red and bloom in June and July, but this plant is more noted for its foliage. Miss Manners Obedient Plant

The Physostegia Miss Manners, Physostegia virginiana, also know as Obedient Plant, has bright white spiked flowers that are 18 tall and a plant spread of 18-24. Miss Manners blooms from June to September and the waxy, dark green foliage makes this plant a little different from other white blooming perennials. Try with darker colors such Hemerocallis Little Business, Platycodon Balloon Flower or Veronica Royal Candles.

Variegata Obedient Plant

The Obedient Plant Physostegia Variegata, 'Physostegia virginiana', has bright white spiked flowers that are 36 tall and a plant spread of 18-24. Variegata blooms from June to September and the waxy, green leaves have bright white margins that makes this plant a little different from other white blooming perennials. Use Variegata in borders, mixed plantings, massed plantings (especially to separate other colors), in large containers or as cut flowers. Try darker colors such Hemerocallis Little Business, Platycodon Balloon Flower or Veronica Royal Candles as a contrast.

Oriental Poppy - Champagne Bubbles

The Oriental Poppy 'Champagne Bubbles Group','Paver oriental 'Champagne Bubbles', is a hardy perennial with a profusion of blooms. This easily manageable plant has fuzzy bluish green foliage with a mix of flowers: orange, yellow, salmon, gold, coral and white. 'Champagne Bubbles' needs to be planted in full sun, in a moist but well drained area. It has a plant height and width of 24" and blooms from May until July. Penstemon - Mystica

The Penstemon 'Mystic', 'Penstemon 'Mystica', is a new Penstemon, similar to 'Husker Red'. This Penstemon has light lavender-pink blooms. 'Mystic' is an all year bloomer that starts with bronze rosettes of foliage in early spring then produces numerous bronze stems over a long period in early summer.
