Dimity Dwarf Fleece Flower

The Mountain Fleece Dimity, 'Persicaria affinis', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, is a wonderful variety in the Persicaria family. The superb green leaves turn red bronze in the fall and the pink flower spikes appear from summer into autumn. Dimity has a plant height of 6 and a spread of 18-23. The foliage forms a shiny carpet that should not be missed. Dimity should be planted in a full sun area but can tolerate some afternoon shade. Dimity will look great in any perennial garden, in mixed container, woodland edge or near ponds and streams.

The Eupatorium Gateway Joe-Pye Weed, Eupatorium purpureum, is a wonderful lavender purple bloomer that stands 4 tall with a plant spread the 29-35. With beautiful wine red stems that develop large green leaves, it is a definite attractor to butterflies and bees and is deer resistant. Joe Pye Weed looks wonderful with Rudbeckia Black Eyed Susan, Aster Woods Purple, with ornamental grasses or in a perennial border. It is a great background plant but does need a lot of room to grow.

Evening Primrose- Missouri Primrose

The Evening Primrose 'Missouri Primrose', 'Oenothera 'Missouri Evening Primrose', is a Missouri native plant found on limestone glades and rocky prairies in the Ozark region. The beautiful canary yellow flowers add great color in any perennial garden and will bloom from May to August. This easily grown Oenothera should be planted in full sun and a well-drained area. With a plant height of 9-12" and a spread of 12-18", the mildly fragrant flowers open for only one day, usually late afternoon but will last until the following morning. Best used in front of borders or rock gardens, it will add color in wild gardens, meadows, cottage gardens or in native plant gardens. Do not over water.

The foliage is a gray-green almost basil like. Burgunder blooms from early June through fall with a plant height of 23-29 and a width of 12-18. For the perfect site, try planting in sunny borders, dry or windy sites, in mass plantings or in containers. Burgunder will also produce long-lasting cut flowers.


Gaillardia - Fanfare

The Blanket Flower 'Fanfare', 'Gaillardia x grandiflora 'Fanfare' USPP#15892', is one of the best on the market today. 'Fanfare' is known for its two-toned daisy like blooms with trumpet-shaped petals. With bright yellow tips and scarlet-red centers, it is a must in any perennial garden. Bloom time will last from early June until early fall. 'Fanfare' has a plant height of 18-24" and a spread of 15-18" and should be planted in full sun in a dry area.
